Y.O.P.E

Y.O.P.E. is the musical experiment of bassist Joop de Graaf, known for his work with Brintex Collective, Imaginarium, Diana Dzhabbar Kwartet and Dandana, among others. Joop studied at the Jazz Department of the Conservatory of Amsterdam and started his own project Y.O.P.E. together with drummer Luis Possollo. In 2022 they recorded their first EP ‘Lost but Here’ together, which sounds like a danceable fusion of electronic jazz and breakbeat. The band later also appeared on the ‘Super-Sonic Family Vol. 2’ LP with their swinging song ‘A Place To Go’. Y.O.P.E.’s latest album ‘Peer Pleasure’ will be released on February 26, 2025, which they will celebrate during their album release show in the Bovenzaal.
