Seun Kuti & The Egypt 80

Seun Kuti, the youngest son of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, has dedicated his life to continuing his father’s political and musical legacy as the leader of the band Egypt 80. From an early age, he showed an interest in music and performed from the age of nine with his father. After Fela’s death in 1997, Seun took over management of Egypt 80 and added his own style and African traditions to the music. His debut album was released in 2008 and he has toured worldwide since then. In 2022, he released the EP ‘African Dreams’, featuring remixes from his Grammy-nominated album ‘Black Times’.
