The Grachtenfestival and Super-Sonic Jazz join forces for a spectacular evening centered around Ghanaian music. Local talents Bnnyhunna, Peter Somuah, and Tallulah Rose will collaborate with Ghanaian legends Berima Amo and none other than ‘the Golden Voice of Africa,’ Pat Thomas!

At the invitation of Berima Amo, Grachtenfestival programmer David Grütter and musicians Bnnyhunna and Tallulah Rose traveled to Ghana to establish a ‘cultural exchange project’ between the Netherlands and Ghana. There, they made music with local talent, performed, and learned from old masters. One of these masters is Pat Thomas (1946), who is widely regarded as the greatest singer in Ghanaian history. Alongside Ebo Taylor, he was one of the major driving forces behind the development of Ghanaian music in the 70s and 80s.

Super-Sonic Jazz and The Grachtenfestival can’t wait to see all this incredible talent come together on one stage, promising a show that’s going to be nothing short of dazzling. To top it off, ‘Amsterdam’s finest’ DJ KC the Funkaholic will spin the evening together with his golden records.
