The New Zealand singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Jordan Rakei creates a distinctive blend of alternative pop, trip-hop, and jazz. He gained recognition in 2013 with his debut album ‘Franklin’s Room,’ immediately standing out with his velvety voice, which he alternates with surprising rhythms and layered soul, R&B, and jazz compositions in his songs. In 2017, he released his album ‘Wallflower,’ subsequently performing at festivals like Lowlands and Pukkelpop. He collaborated with Loyle Carner on the track ‘Ottolenghi.’ This year, his fifth album titled ‘The Loop’ will be released, and in the fall, you can catch him twice at Paradiso.
