Joe Armon-Jones is a keyboardist, producer, songwriter, and bandleader from South London. Trained at the influential jazz program Tomorrow’s Warriors and co-founder of the BRIT Award-winning Ezra Collective, he has become one of the most sought-after musicians of his generation. His virtuosic playing and improvisational talent seamlessly bring together jazz, dub, electronics, pop, and hip-hop, making him a staple in the London music scene. In 2018, his debut album Starting Today was released, followed by Turn To Clear View via Brownswood Recordings, the label of BBC 6 tastemaker Gilles Peterson, and he collaborated with talented fellow musicians such as Nubya Garcia, Moses Boyd, Maxwell Owin, and Oscar Jerome.
In 2021, Armon-Jones founded his own label, Aquarii Records, a creative home for his solo and collaborative projects. In 2025, he will take on a new artistic challenge with All The Quiet, an ambitious two-part project that promises to be his biggest endeavor yet, coming to life on Tuesday, October 28, at Tolhuistuin.
