Elmiene, born as Abdala Elamin and raised in Oxford, is a 21-year-old artist with a captivating soul voice. His debut single “Golden” gained significant attention after it was featured in Virgil Abloh’s final show for Louis Vuitton. Since then, he has collaborated with well-known artists such as Sampha, Syd, and Stormzy. His music, influenced by soul legends like Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, blends old-school R&B with modern production, resulting in a fresh and immersive sound. In April, the singer performed at Cinetol, which sold out in no time. Last summer, he performed at North Sea Jazz and Lowlands, and in April, he will return for a show in Amsterdam, this time at Tolhuistuin.
