Berhana is not only consciously concerned with his profession, but also with his identity.
Right now, life is too short for him not to commit authentically to every facet and detail of his calling. On ‘HAN’, the 2019 project, Berhana plays with his name ‘Han’ which is part of his stage and birth name. The understated and lush fusion of R&B, funk and jazz has a narrative feel that guides the listener through the project in a neat and formal manner. The follow-up to ‘HAN’, 2023’s ‘Amén (The Nomad’s Dream)’, Berhana combines the love for his birth name (Amain Berhane), his native language and the concept of a transporting home and who he has become.
All in all, it serves as an apt nickname. On October 25 he released a sequel called ‘Amén (The Missing Tapes)’. In honor of this project he makes a stop in Paradiso.
