Alex Isley, from Los Angeles, has a musical background: her grandmother was an opera singer and her father Ernie is part of the legendary band The Isley Brothers. Alex has collaborated with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Lucky Daye and PJ Morton.
In November 2019, she and producer Jack Dine released the EP “Wilton,” followed by their album “Marigold”. In the fall of 2022, she collaborated with producer Terrace Martin on the project ‘I Left My Heart In Ladera.’ Alex appeared in the HBO series ‘Insecure,’ had an NPR Tiny Desk (Home Edition) appearance and debuted on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon along with Robert Glasper and SiR. Their song “Back To Love” earned her two Grammy nominations: Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.
