From Rotterdam to Amsterdam and back in BIRD! After a successful SOLD-OUT edition in the Skatecafe, Amsterdam, we will gather in BIRD, Rotterdam on Wednesday November 27 for a special jam session edition! This event is a unique collaboration between BIRD, Super-Sonic Jazz and House of Knowledge, bringing together artists from Rotterdam and Amsterdam, with the aim of bringing the scenes and communities of both cities closer together.
As part of ‘OSHI’, the local Amsterdam scene is invited, and they travel to Rotterdam to participate in this special ‘BIRDSESSION’ jam session. Super-Sonic Jam is a concept that emerged in the basement of Paradiso during the annual Super-Sonic Jazz Festival. Since March 2024, Super-Sonic Jam has been a monthly meeting in the Skatecafé in Amsterdam-Noord, where a vibrant community of musicians and music lovers arises. Featuring live performances, jam sessions and networking opportunities, this inclusive event acts as a hub for artistic experimentation and collaboration.
House of Knowledge focuses on strengthening the position of young artists in the performing arts. They do this by producing programs, events and tailor-made programs throughout the year, including jam sessions, masterclasses, peer-to-peer coaching, live sessions and much more. Expect many guest musicians in the form of emerging talent and renowned artists.
