BRANDEE YOUNGER

Grammy nominated harpist Brandee Younger is revolutionizing her instrument. Over the past fifteen years, she has worked relentlessly to stretch boundaries and limitations for harpists and became known as the most sonically innovative harpist. In 2022, she made history by becoming the first black woman to be nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition.

Ever-expanding as an artist, she has worked with cultural icons including Beyonce, Common, Lauryn Hill, John Legend, and Moses Sumney. Her latest album, Brand New Life, is about forging new paths – artistic, personal, political, and spiritual. On this album, Younger salutes her musical foremother, Dorothy Ashby, while also speaking to the sentiments of more recent generations.

Sophye Soliveau

Sophye Soliveau is a singer, harpist and choir conductor. Her passion for African-American music, from R&B to soul and including gospel, has been with her since childhood, and she has honed her skills through classical training. From the creative twists that fuel her improvisations to the search for healing and the pursuit of freedom, this is how ‘INITIATION’, her debut album, was born. It’s a vibrant celebration of lush R&B. The album is distinguished by its refined orchestration. Sophye’s vocal chords blend seamlessly with those of her harp, floating over ethereal choirs and a bass-drum rhythm with a precious and subtle groove that elevates an original repertoire deeply inspired by soul.

FABIANO DO NASCIMENTO

Fabiano is a guitarist, composer, producer and arranger from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, currently living in Los Angeles and Japan. Fabiano plays various nylon string guitars made especially for him. He is a contemporary artist deeply rooted in Brazilian heritage and known for his unique sound and compositions that are always innovative. He draws from the traditions of Afro-Samba, Folkloric and Choro, while incorporating elements of jazz, experimental music and electronics.
